The Matara Centre is a tranquil and beautiful place set in 28 acres of woodland and parkland in the Cotswold Hills in a place of outstanding natural beauty.
 

We encourage people to create their own unique wedding experience. We will do everything possible to make your wishes come true.

Many couples are looking for something different that reflects their personal values. They want a setting that is relaxed and uplifting in a natural setting.

You will find a feast of East/West fusion, celebrating cultural diversity throughout the centre and grounds. We welcome all faiths and beliefs and their traditions as they enrich the spirit of Matara. You are welcome to practice your own unique cultural wedding celebrations.

Having your service or blessing at Matara can reflect who you are and what you care about, your beliefs and values. We offer alternative wedding celebrations that reflect a more organic life style in an earth friendly place.

When your wedding ceremony reflects your deepest values you will be inspired by a deeper understanding of your love, your commitment and the life you want to share together.

Explore the whole parkland during your wedding celebrations and enjoy our wishing tree ; labyrinths and healing spiral within our meditative gardens. You can start by holding your civil ceremony in our cloistered garden before discovering the extensive grounds. Many couples also plant a tree to celebrate their weddings which in turn is allowing us to create a unity parkland, part of our commitment to carbon neutral weddings.

We have relaxed accommodation for up to 24 close families and friends to make yourself at home in our beautiful Regency home, taking the stress out of your big day so you can relax and enjoy.

 We are here to support you before your wedding in order for you to relax and have a stress-free joyous day.
