Jul 15@1:52pm: Dear Geoffrey and all at the Matara Centre, Thank you so much for everything you did for us in the build-up to our wedding day, which turned out to be a truly phenomenal experience. As we learnt from Geoffrey, when the day arrived, after months of planning, we relinquished control and had no intention other than to show and share our love. It has been wonderful to receive such positive and joyous messages from our guests since the wedding. It seems they were so enraptured by the whole feel of the Matara centre- the setting, the decor, the people, the sense of calm and love and togethernes... [from Comments for The Matara Centre Blog]

May 17@2:09pm: Dear Geoffrey We wanted to write to express our appreciation of and gratitude for all the hard work and dedication that makes the Matara centre such a perfect place to celebrate a marriage. We loved everything about the wedding of our daughter, Rosie and her partner, Dominic: the beautiful setting and the sound of the water. The gracious house where the two families could spend time together and the thoughtfulness and professionalism of the staff. We particulary wanted to say what a tower of strength and source of endless good humour Rebecca was. Nothing ever seemed to faze her and, althou... [from Comments for The Matara Centre Blog]

The house is just breath-taking and its peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to wind down after the big day. Mark and I didn't want to leave. Jan 21@11:27am: Dear Rebecca, Geoffrey and all the staff A huge thank you to you both for allowing us to hold Adrian's 50th Birthday Party at the Matara. It was a huge success and went better than we could ever have imagined it would. This was of course partly down to the beautiful venue and of course, the wonderful staff who were so helpful and happy - we felt they were a part of the party too. Everyone enjoyed it so much that we are looking for an excuse to have another party at the Matara. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Warmest wishes. Jan 11@2:09pm: Dear Geoffrey, Rebecca & Jean Re: House Rental 7, 8, 9th December 2007. Now that the excitement of the wedding, Christmas and New Year has settled down, Diana and I would like to say a Big Thank You for letting us share your house. It was an absolute treat to have our own base, to entertain our friends, provide our son with an Usher's lunch and give the band a base! We had a marvelous time made splendid by the comforts of the house and your help & support. Best Wishes for 2008 Russell & Diana Watkins [from Comments for The Matara Centre Blog]

Thankyou Rebecca for doing such an amazing job of organising and saying 'yes' to all our little requests. You just made it so easy. The Matara Centre for civil weddings in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire

The Matara Center is a tranquil and beautiful place set in 28 acres of woodland and parkland in the Cotswold Hills in a place of natural outstanding beauty.

People have total freedom to create their own unique wedding experience at Matara. We will do everything possible to make your wishes come true. Your guest are invited to explore the whole parkland during your wedding celebrations and participate in our wishing tree celebration; walk the meditative labyrinths and healing spiral.

We support cultural diversity where any couple can express their beliefs and deepest values. Last year we celebrated over 70 wedding ceremonies, from a variety of cultures. We have artifacts from all over the world that celebrate different faiths including; Muslim, Hindu, Judaism, Christianity and the increasing earth bound spirituality that is emerging.

Each of our couples who celebrate their wedding have the opportunity to dedicate a tree. Together we are creating a unity meadow within the parkland, with Oak, Magnolia, Sliver birch and Acer Groves within the parkland. This is part of our commitment to a carbon neutral environment.
