At Matara we can create a variety of versatile spaces, which can comfortably accommodate groups numbering from 15 to 150 people.

At Matara, we respect all faiths and beliefs. Our aim is to provide an uplifting oasis of beauty and calm r to celebrate life. We host weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and funeral gatherings, as well as business events of all kinds.

You will see  an Eastern and Western fusion in the architecture, interiors and landscaping inspired by Eastern meditative qualities as well as Western philosophy, integrating the inner and outer worlds.

Nourishing the body

We have a full range of catering facilities providing food with fun and flair, grown, prepared and served with love and care like everything else at Matara. Our food is fresh, seasonal and local – organic wherever possible. Vegetarian, vegan and other diets are fully catered for.

Sustaining the environment

We recycle our water though our reed bed pond system, 100% green electricity, plant trees to offset carbon emissions, create wild life habitat.

Directions to The Matara Centre at Kingscote Park
The Matara Centre at Kingscote Park is located approximately 20 minutes from either junction 18 of the M4 (12 miles) or junction 13 of the M5 (8.5 miles)

Traveling By Train: The nearest stations to the Matara Centre are: Stroud British rail (30 minutes), Kemble British Rail (20 minutes)

From the M5
• Exit the M5 (South) at Junction 13.
• Take the A419 to Stroud. (You will drive past a Little Chef and later the
Stonehouse Court Hotel, then through Ebley village.)
• After four miles you will reach two roundabouts in quick succession;
turn left at first roundabout, and turn right at the second roundabout
(Sainsburys on right, and signposted Bath, Nailsworth, A46).
• After half a mile on Dudbridge Road, turn right onto A46, driving
through Nailsworth and following the road straight through and up the
winding hill towards Bath.
• Three miles after Nailsworth, driving through open countryside, you will
reach the crossroads with the A4135 (left to Tetbury, right to Dursley).
• Turn right off the A46 onto the A4135 (towards Dursley).
• After about two miles you will see a pub on the left called the Hunters Hall and a signpost to Kingscote.
• Turn right down the lane towards Kingscote village.
• After about 100 yards, enter The Matara Centre at Kingscote Park at the first gate and park in a space on the right hand side.

From the M4
• Leave M4 at Junction 18, take the A46 North towards Stroud. Drive for approximately 11 miles.
• Turn left at the junction signposted Kingscote/Dursley, then at T junction turn left again.
• After about 1/4 of a mile you will see a pub on the left called the Hunters Hall.
• Turn right down the lane towards Kingscote village.
• After about 100 yards enter The Matara Centre at Kingscote Park at the first gate and park in a space on the right hand side.
Additional parking is available at Hunters Hall Inn, directly across the road from Matara.
