THE TEAM
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Matara is nothing without the dedicated team that works here. From Geoffrey, the founder, to our wedding co-ordinators, front of house staff and the amazing behind the scenes crew, they are all deeply invested in Matara.

Geoffrey Higgins
Your Host
The founder of the Matara Centre, a place created to inspire connection, creativity, and celebration. Shaped through a shared vision with his partner and soul friend of 25 years, June Higgins, Matara grew from love, loss, and hope following June’s experience with cancer. Today, Matara is a welcoming space where people reconnect with themselves, others, and nature - a living expression of creativity and possibility. For Geoffrey, it is a place to express dreams and celebrate life’s magical moments with loved ones, and he warmly invites others to do the same.
